Purva Pandit is a contemporary artist from Mumbai. She holds a BFA Degree (2010) in Painting from Sir J.J School of Art, Mumbai and has further pursued a MFA Degree in 2012 from the same institution. Her work has been auctioned at Tao Art Gallery in Mumbai which was a part of the Wisdom Foundation’s  Art Exhibition held at the same gallery in the year 2009. She has participated in the ‘International Group Show’ by The Drawing Box at The University of Kuala Lumpur which further traveled to Philippines, Italy, Iraq and California in the years 2013-15.


Purva was amongst the three artists representing India at the International Camp organized by The Drawing Box in the year 2013. In 2014 she established her first proprietary firm “HUE” which has been creating paintings, murals and sculptures for both commercial and residential spaces ever since. She has been featuring her work at The Kalaghoda Art Festival since 2016 and has gained a lot of popularity in the art scene due to her intriguing art installations. She has also been associated with GoodHomes for Art, a public art festival by GoodHomes magazine.


Purva was amongst the top five artists/designers to be selected by D’decor for an Art event organised by Goodhomes Magazine in 2017. Her work “ We Too: SuperHeroes” talking about the LGBTQ community displayed at Bandra Festival in the year 2018 made her win many accolades. In 2019 she co-founded a design firm named BombayStudio to explore her abilities as a designer in the field of Architecture and Interior Design. And in 2020 last year, her work was featured on the cover of Goodhomes Magazine in their May issue of “ Celebrating Happiness”. Currently, she is working on her solo exhibition.


Purva’s work personifies her ability to articulate compositions and visuals from her surroundings. Her love for the exploration of various elements in the day-to-day life have inspired her to develop concepts using various forms, textures and colors in her own artistic endeavours.
