What we see as contrasts need not necessarily be so isolated and immiscible. In this work I try and use visual cues to illustrate this while exploring the idea of wholeness, acknowledgement and integration of contrasts, as a site of hope instead of alienation, hostility and separation. Two squares came about this idea which explores the contrasts between the static, glossy black tile with well-defined lines complimenting the unglazed rustic looking dynamic terracotta tile with rudimentary line-work.
